I Tried Live Tinted’s Hueguard, and It Set the Bar For Sunscreen Standards
I might skip out on my vitamin C, stay in cozy pajamas all day long, or swap out my glasses for contacts, however, sunscreen is always a must in my morning routine. Sunscreen helps protect your skin against health issues like melanoma, but also prevents premature aging and hyperpigmentation. As someone who deals with dark spots and hyperpigmentation, I can actually notice my spots getting darker in as little as 24 hours when I skip out on sunscreen. This singular step is an important part of your skincare routine. That’s why I’m super picky when it comes to choosing the best ones. Some leave a white cast, some break you out, some have a weird texture, some burn your eyes like the depths of hell, and some don’t play well with other products. It’s a challenge to find a sunscreen you want to use every single day.
I finally got my hands on Live Tinted‘s Hueguard sunscreen ($32), and I instantly fell in love. It changed my standards for sunscreen forever. I’ve been following Deepica Mutyala since her red-lipstick hack went viral on the internet and proudly cheered on with the creation of her community-driven brand, Live Tinted. The brand creates problem-solving products specifically for those who feel underrepresented in the beauty space. Everyone of all skin tones should look and feel comfortable and confident in their skin, and the Hueguard is a product that does just that. The sunscreen has absolutely no white cast. Instead, it adds a lovely glow to my complexion. The texture, the finish, the all-day wear, and everything in between is just *chef’s kiss* wonderful. The Hueguard is worth every penny if you can get your hands on it before it’s sold out again. Keep reading for my in-depth review and see it in action.
