It Took Us a Full 5 Minutes to Recognize Jennifer Lopez With Pastel-Pink Hair

Jennifer Lopez is pretty adventurous with her hair – Curtain bangs? Check. Blunt bob? Check. Fifty-inch-long extensions? Check – but in the color department, she’s mostly maintained her brunette status through the years. That all flew out the hypothetical window, however, when Chris Appleton shared his latest Instagram snap.
On Dec. 2, the celebrity hairstylist posted the below picture of Lopez with bright pink hair, and we could barely believe our eyes because she looked so different. Appleton worked his magic and gave her dreamy pastel hair that extends well beyond her shoulders, with textured layers and darker roots.
The transformation, which has yet to pop up on Lopez’s grid, is likely courtesy of a wig rather than actual dye. Plus, upon further inspection, it looks like the hair switch-up was executed a few months back for one of J Lo’s DSW campaign photo shoots, so Appleton likely shared it as a good ol’ Throwback Thursday tribute. Regardless, we’re here for Lopez changing up her hair, no matter how impermanent it may be. Seriously, how stunning does she look?
